Group assignment
Rating groups support fair comparison across playing strengths and use the platform's verified rating basis.
No downgrade
Once a user reaches a higher rating group, a later rating decrease must not move the user into a lower group.
Corrections
Administrators can refresh group data when new verified ratings or FIDE IDs become available while preserving the no-downgrade rule.
